There is good news for the residents of Delhi-NCR: the ‘Namo Bharat’ rapid train which will connect Delhi to the Noida International Airport is on its way, and the construction of a new corridor for this service has officially been announced. This corridor will facilitate high-speed travel across a route comprising 11 to 12 stations. One thing is certain: this initiative will result in significant time savings for commuters traveling between Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad, as the travel time from this region to the Delhi-Noida Airport is set to drop to a mere 20 to 21 minutes. According to sources cited by NDTV News, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Industrial Development, Nand Gopal Gupta, stated that under the proposed high-speed rail project, the travel time between Delhi and the Noida Airport will be drastically reduced. He recently conducted a review of this project, which is being overseen by the Yamuna Authority. The Minister further announced that the Detailed Project Report DPR for the Regional Rapid Transit System RRTS which aims to link Delhi with the Jewar Airport has been approved by the Yogi Adityanath-led government of Uttar Pradesh. This report has now been forwarded to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for further action.

Direct Route from Delhi to Jewar: Delhi–Noida Airport Namo Bharat

Regarding the stations through which this high-speed rapid train will pass between Delhi and Noida Airport, let me inform you that its route will commence from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi, proceed via the DND Flyway, Noida City Centre, NSEZ, Surajpur, and Pari Chowk, and traverse through the YEIDA sectors before reaching the Noida International Airport. Through this rapid rail route, the journey from certain parts of Delhi to Noida Airport will be completed in a mere 21 minutes. Extending from Ghaziabad to Jewar, this corridor will interconnect with the existing Delhi-Meerut ‘Namo Bharat’ corridor at Ghaziabad Station. As for passengers traveling from Meerut or Ghaziabad, they will be able to reach Jewar Airport without any inconvenience or the need to change trains. The distance between Ghaziabad and Jewar spans 72 kilometers, a journey that will be completed in approximately 50 to 60 minutes.

Delhi-Noida International Airport Namo Bharat Corridor

As we reach the concluding lines of this article, it is worth noting that the Uttar Pradesh government granted approval to the DPR for the Delhi-Noida International Airport Jewar Namo Bharat corridor on May 22. This corridor is poised to bring about a transformative change in high-speed connectivity across the entire NCR region. It has now been forwarded to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for final approval. Modifications have also been incorporated into the DPR to integrate the Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed ​​Rail Corridor with the airport terminal via a dedicated station.This integration will enable connectivity from Delhi to the airport in approximately 21 minutes. Following the inauguration of the Jewar Airport, the entire Yamuna Expressway region is expected to emerge as a major cargo hub. The Yamuna Expressway is currently being linked to several key expressways including the Agra-Lucknow, Bundelkhand, Purvanchal, Delhi-Mumbai, and Ganga Expressways thereby ensuring high-speed connectivity across the network.
